Bucket List 2027: 10 Dolomite Adventures

Adrenaline Adventures

A new year is about to begin, and with it comes the perfect moment to dream big. The Dolomites — UNESCO World Heritage Site, natural paradise, land of adventure — offer experiences that deserve a place on the bucket list of anyone who loves mountains, thrills, and beauty. We have selected the 10 absolutely unmissable experiences for 2027. How many have you already done? And how many will you add to your list?

1. Fly on the Dolomites Zipline

There is no better way to start the list: the Dolomites zipline is a breathtaking experience — literally. Suspended on a steel cable, you fly over valleys and forests with a 360-degree panorama of the Dolomite peaks. The adrenaline of flight blends with the beauty of the landscape to create an indelible memory.

Perfect for those wanting to step out of their comfort zone, and even for those with a fear of heights who want to conquer it with a brave gesture.

The zipline is available from spring to autumn, with the option to purchase a gift voucher valid for 12 months at any time of year. If you are planning your bucket list, book ahead for summer weekends — dates sell out fast.

2. Conquer a Via Ferrata

The Dolomite via ferratas are among the most beautiful in the world. Routes equipped with cables, ladders, and pegs take you vertically up rock faces, rewarding you with views otherwise reserved for mountaineers alone. From easy routes for beginners to demanding ones for experts, there is a path for every level.

3. Lago di Braies at Sunrise

Lago di Braies is the most photographed lake in the Dolomites, but seeing it at dawn — when the surface is a perfect mirror and the tourists have not yet arrived — is an experience on another level. Arrive before 7:00 in summer to enjoy the magic in solitude.

4. An Authentic Torggelen

Torggelen is South Tyrol's most beloved autumn tradition: a walk between farmsteads followed by a hearty meal of new wine, roast chestnuts, speck, cheeses, and strudel. Best done in October or November, when the foliage colours make the walk even more spectacular.

5. Ski Plan de Corones

Plan de Corones is not just a ski resort: it is an experience. From the summit at 2,275 metres, the view sweeps 360 degrees across the Dolomites, and the descent is pure joy. Add the Messner Mountain Museum at the top and you have a perfect day. A must for skiers of every level.

To get the most from your bucket list, plan different experiences in different seasons. The zipline is perfect in summer, Torggelen in autumn, skiing in winter, and Lago di Braies at sunrise in spring or summer. A whole year of Dolomite adventures!

6. Eat Canederli at a Malga

Canederli are the soul of Dolomite cuisine, and eating them at an authentic malga — with the scent of wood, cows grazing outside, and mountain views — is a gastronomic and sensory experience like no other. Choose malghe reachable only on foot: the effort of the climb makes the dish taste even better.

7. Watch the Enrosadira at Sunset

The Enrosadira is the phenomenon whereby the Dolomite walls turn pink and orange at sunset. It is a natural spectacle that repeats every evening yet is never the same. The best viewpoints include Sass de Putia, the Fanes group, and the Odle. Bring a warm jacket and a camera.

8. Night Snowshoeing under the Stars

Night snowshoeing is one of the most magical winter experiences in the Dolomites. Walking on snow under a starry sky, with silence broken only by your footsteps, then dining in a warm rifugio with steaming canederli. Full moon nights are particularly special.

9. Visit the Messner Mountain Museum

Reinhold Messner created a circuit of 6 museums dedicated to mountains, and the one on the summit of Plan de Corones (MMM Corones) is the most spectacular. Designed by Zaha Hadid and set into the rock, it offers a unique perspective on traditional mountaineering and the relationship between people and mountains. The Dolomite museums deserve a full day.

10. Zipline + Aperitivo with a View

We close the list as we opened it: with the zipline. But this time in combo version: the zipline flight followed by an aperitivo with Dolomite views. The flight's adrenaline gives way to the relaxation of a drink at sunset, creating the perfect contrast. The ideal experience for couples, groups of friends, or as a special gift.

Your Bucket List, Your Adventure

Ten experiences, ten different ways to live the Dolomites. Some require physical preparation, others just the willingness to be surprised. All, however, share one thing: they will leave you with a memory that lasts far longer than any material possession.

2027 is your year to experience the Dolomites to the fullest. Start ticking off the list now.
